July 29, 2022 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Kearney Community Theatre presents

Jane Austen’s Emma

Book, Music, and Lyrics by Paul Gordon

Wednesday July 20, 2021 – Sunday July 31, 2021
Wednesdays through Sundays (Matinees on Sundays)

A carefree woman, Emma Woodhouse has the very best blessings of existence with very little to vex or distress her. She is determined to play matchmaker in the lives of those around her, but reluctant to commit herself to matrimony and fails to notice the capture of her own heart. When her attempts at matchmaking and romance go awry, Emma has to face herself and the people she has hurt. A classic romantic comedy for modern audiences. Suitable for older youth and adults.

“Emma effectively captures a key strength of the novel: an understanding that love cannot be predicted or channeled; it goes where it will.” – Los Angeles Times
