Piano Extravaganza

Piano Extravaganza will showcase works for piano 4, 6, 8 hands on one or two pianos.
Jayoung Hong(collaborative Pianist at UNK) was looking for a new concert venue when she came upon the Frank museum in Kearney and the Seward Civic Center in Seward. She successfully held the Salon Miniature Chamber Concert last December at Frank Museum in Kearney. This time around she will showcase a variety of piano sounds with the UNO, UNK faculty and UNK piano students at UNK Fine Arts Recital Hall and Seward Civic Center.

The performance on April 22nd at UNK is titled, “Piano Extravaganza”, and will feature, among others, pianist Kristin Jonina Taylor( Piano Faculty at UNO and Keyboard division Coordinator), Bryan Stanely (composer, Pianist, husband of Kristin Taylor)-Atlantic Piano Duo, Beth Mattingly (New UNK Music faculty), Jayoung Hong, and her piano students Seungwon Lee, and Kangyoung Ban. All of whom will help create an unforgettable tour de force of works for piano, including works by Bryan, Rachmaninoff, Barber and Mozart.
