Water for Birds Presentation

March 31, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

The old adage that whisky is for drinking and water is for fighting certainly holds true on the Platte. We will recount the Platte River water accounting and flow protection measures that have grown from past conflicts, explore what these protections practically mean for cranes, and discuss the ways that future water management activities may influence crane habitat.

This talk will be presented by Jason Farnsworth. Jason works for the Platte River Recovery and Implentation Program (PRRIP) as their Director of Habitat Management and Rehabilitation.
