🏃‍♂️9:00am Sue Bush Memorial 5k Run/Walk and Kids Lake Loop (approx. 1 mile). Register by May 23 to receive a t-shirt. All ages, call 237-4644 for more information.

🧘‍♀️10:00am Yoga on the Lawn. Join us on the Gail and Michael Yanney Pavilion lawn for some morning yoga. Bring your own mat.

🌿10:00am to 1:00pm Botanical Garden Tour & Learning Stations. Enjoy the botanical gardens during a walking tour, discover a new plant at one of the learning stations, and Thank-A-Volunteer with Chalk Art.

🎣11:00am to 1:00pm Family Fishing Day presented by Nebraska Game & Parks Commission. Cabela’s fishing poles to the first 100 kids. Adults need to have a Nebraska Fishing License.

🌭11:00am to 1:00pm Free Lunch by Optimist. Hot dog, chips and a treat served while supplies last.

🥨11:00am to 9:00pm Concessions/Marina Open.

🚒11:30am to 2:30pm Touch-a-Truck. Come see vehicles up close!

🎨12:00 to 4:00pm Giant coloring pages. Stop by the ERC building to have some fun coloring on our gigantic coloring pages!

📖12:30 to 2:30pm Storybook Walk, starts at Mitzi’s Pavilion. Enjoy a walk around the lake while reading a story. Walk starts at Mitzi’s Pavilion.

7th Annual Wilderness Wellness Run

Get your walking and running shoes out because the UNMC Kearney Physical Therapy Class of 2025 will be hosting the 7th annual Wilderness Wellness Run on October 7th! The race will begin at 9:00 am at Cottonmill Park in Kearney, NE, with registration starting at 8:00 am. We will also be holding a virtual run/walk from September 23rd to October 7th for those who cannot make it out. Participants can choose either the 1 mile or 5k and are welcome to run or walk the course. People of all ages are welcome to come and join in the fun.

The goal of this event is to promote healthy living while giving community members a chance to learn more about UNMC’s presence in the community and surrounding areas! We hope you all can join us and have some fun along the way. Thanks, and we’ll see you soon! Please share our flyer to anyone you think might be interested, with this run being both in person and virtual, you can join us at Cottonmill Park or run anywhere and anytime!

Bubble Run

Join us for a fun morning full of exercise, bubbles, and fun, complete with a foam pit at the finish line! Proceeds benefit Kearney Area Children’s Museum Caring and Sharing Membership Program, ensuring everyone has an opportunity to be inspired to play, explore, and discover.

ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk Kearney

The ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk Kearney event, hosted by Dr. Garrett Pohlman and the Kearney Urology Center, is a family-friendly event is an important way to unite together to ZERO out prostate cancer. Our caring community will celebrate prostate cancer survivors and caregivers and honor those that have been lost to the disease. There will be fun kids activities, including a special Kids Superhero Dash for Dad, to get everyone involved. Register and create your fundraising page today. All participants are eligible to earn fundraising recognition rewards. Remember you are making a difference for men and their families.

Elm Creek Buffalo Stampede

Annual community celebration in the heartland of Nebraska. Come enjoy the classic car show, carnival, competition BBQ, parade & truck show, sand volleyball, street dance, color run, and so much more!

KRMC Scrub Run 5K

This 5K fun run/walk is open to the public to promote community activeness, while supporting Central Nebraska flood relief and disaster replenishment! Participants are encouraged to wear scrubs, though attire is not required. All participants will receive a scrub-inspired t-shirt. The run will follow a 5K route through Yanney Park.

*Not a timed race.

$25 per person, includes t-shirt; $10 to register without a shirt. Kids 10 and under are free!

Register by Sun. Sept. 8th to be guaranteed a t-shirt!
Registration closes Thur. Sept. 19th

Proceeds to go to the Kearney Area United Way Disaster Recovery Fund to benefit flood relief!

Kearney Trail Run

REGISTRATION:
•If you pre-register by Thursday, September 26, you will receive a free race long sleeve shirt.
•5k Run entry fee: $18
•Event day registration will be accepted from 1:00-1:45pm.
•Race Packets can be picked up the day of the event starting at 1:00pm.
•At registration participants can register for random prize drawings.
•Register online at www.KPRregister.org.

RACE COURSE:
• Course will be a mixture of paved roads and natural and paved trail systems.
•An aid/water station will be provided.

AWARDS:
•Snacks and refreshments will be provided after the race.
•The top three finishers in each age and gender division will receive a medal. (male/female, 14 & under, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+).
