Annually, the second Saturday in April is the time to attend the largest spring craft show in central Nebraska since 2004. The Signs of Spring Craft and Trade Show is the perfect combination of crafts, trade businesses, boutique shops, foods/drinks, live musical entertainment and so much more. A Blue Violin Valentine

A Night of Music and Romance with the Blue Violin.

Treat your special someone to an elegant evening of song this Valentine holiday. This intimate performance will feature some of the great love songs of a generation, with the voice of a violin. Enjoy an unforgettable night of fascination and mystique with the Blue Violin.

Former 1st violinist of the Boston String Quartet, Blue Violin performs original music and covers in a multimedia format, all using a single violin. Imagine the production of Lindsey Stirling with the virtuosity of David Garrett.

Blue Violin has performed as soloist with the Xibus World Orchestra, Ethno-Urban Orchestra, and has performed with John Mayer, Paul Simon, Jennifer Holliday, the Turtle Island Quartet, and members of Celtic Woman and Riverdance

This year’s Blue Violin Valentine will include

-Electric/world fusion reimagining of Perfect (Ed Sheeran), Until I Found You (Stephen Sanchez), and Circles (Post Malone).

-Acoustic arrangements of ‘Fairy Tale’ (Alexander Rybak), ‘Appalachia Waltz’ (Mark O Connor), and Meditation from Thais.

-Original compositions and arrangements from Blue Violin’s upcoming album release, including a completely new Blue Violin vision for songs such as ‘Thunderstruck’, and ‘Viva la Vida’.

Concert: Opening night of the 2023-2024 Season! Guest clarinettist Elizandro Garcia-Montoya playing Weber’s Clarinet Concerto no 1, music by Oscar-winning composer John Corigliano and Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

Michael Martin Murphey presented by Kearney COSMOS

Michael Martin Murphey’s musical journey has taken many unpredictable paths over the past 50 years. Topping the Pop, Country, Western and Bluegrass charts, Murphey is best known for his chart-topping hits “Wildfire,” Carolina in the Pines,” “What’s Forever For,” “Long Line of Love,” “Geronimo’s Cadillac”, “Cowboy Logic,” and many more across his 35 albums released to date.

Phat Cat Swinger

A West Coast 11-piece “little-big” band, Phat Cat Swinger specializes in high-energy music with that classic Hollywood touch. Using the rockstar energy of Freddie Mercury and the flamboyant style of Elton John, PCS brings to life re-imagined musical arrangements from timeless eras — ranging from Sinatra to Bublé, Disney and everything in-between. 1st concert of the 2023-2024 Kearney Concert Association six concert series.

Folk Legacy Trio

The Folk Legacy Trio are George Grove and Rick Dougherty formerly with the Kingston Trio and Jerry Siggins, former lead singer of the doo-wop group The Diamonds. These three will sing the Great American Folksong BookTM with their signature dynamic harmonies enriching some of the most wonderful and beloved songs ever written. 2nd concert of the 2023-2024 Kearney Concert Association six concert series.

Charlie Albright

A Kearney Concert Association favorite, pianist Charlie Albright is returning to Kearney for an encore performance. Hailed as “among the most gifted musicians of his generation” Charlie connects with audiences like no other. With his “jaw-dropping technique.” and amazing improvisational skills this Steinway artist is as “good as it gets.” This concert will be held at Kearney High School, 2702 West 11th St. 3rd concert of the 2023-2024 Kearney Concert Association six concert series.

Empire Trio

Empire Trio presents the most cherished songs from the world of film from c.1930 until the mid-1990s. Songs from Casablanca, James Bond, Titanic, The Wizard of Oz and stories about the singers who performed them, from Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra to Céline Dion and Barbra Streisand. A glamorous soundtrack to the greatest silver screen films of all time. 4th concert of the 2023-2024 Kearney Concert Association six concert series.

Divas 3

Three female singers with powerhouse voices sing the biggest hits of the greatest divas in music history. The Divas 3 vibrant show spans four decades covering the 1960s through the 1990s with hits by Aretha Franklin, Carole King, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Cher, Dolly Parton, Donna Summer, ABBA, and many more! 5th concert of the 2023-2024 Kearney Concert Association six concert series.

Brassfire

Jens Lindemann is hailed as one of the most celebrated artists in trumpet history and was recently named “International Brass Personality of the Year” (Brass Herald). This former member of the Canadian Brass has soloed at every major concert venue in the world. Brassfire (trumpet with piano and bass) will be performing the music of Louis Armstrong, Herb Alpert, and Doc Severinsen. Last concert of the 2023-2024 Kearney Concert Association six concert series and a bonus concert for new members for the 2024-2025 season.
