Description:
Celebrate the songs of Broadway with Crane River Theater in an unforgettable performance! Join members of Crane River Theater’s 2021 summer company as they bring the world of Broadway to life at the Merryman Performing Arts Center in Kearney. Featuring songs from both classic and contemporary musicals, there’s something for everyone – and you may even discover a new favorite. Featuring music from Broadway greats such Ira Gershwin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Alan Menken, and many others, it’s the perfect way to lead into our announcement of our season line up for 2022. Whether you have been a part of a Crane River audience in the past, or are joining us for the first time, this is a production that is sure to entertain!

Archway – Soda Fountain Sundae

The Archway in Kearney, Nebraska, will present The Sisters From The Outlaw Trail in a multi-media performance of the program “Riders of the Hoot Owl Trail on Sunday, November 8 at 2:30 in the Archway Event Room.

Catch a glimpse of the “Wild West” in this program that uses songs, stories, and projected images to tell the story of Nebraska’s own Doc Middleton, “The King of the Horse Thieves” and his sidekick Kid Wade.

Following the performance, root beer floats will be served. The performance is free. Donations for sodas are welcome.

Soda Fountain Sundae – The Shockitanos

Join us for a special “socially distanced” Soda Fountain Sundae featuring Kearney’s own singing/songwriting duo, The Shockitanos. Enjoy a program of popular favorites and original tunes inspired by country, rock, folk, and Americana music. Our flexible seating allows for plenty of social distancing. Admission to the performance is free of charge. After the performance, join us for root beer floats. Donations for floats are welcome. Soda Fountain Sundaes are presented with the support of Humanities Nebraska, First National Bank of Omaha, and Jim and Kathleen McKenzie.

Frank Vignola Hot Jazz Guitar Trio-POSTPONED

In response to the CDC’s directive to avoid large gatherings, the Frank Vignola Hot Jazz Guitar Trio scheduled for April 24, 2020 has been postponed. It is our intent to reschedule this concert once it is safe for our patrons, artists and volunteers. Thank you for your patience and your continued support of the Kearney Concert Association.
