Do you want to experience some of the hottest action in the Midwest? Then head out to Kearney Raceway Park (KRP).
KRP is a NHRA Division V sanctioned racetrack located just 2 miles east of Kearney, NE on Hwy 30. During race season you can witness the thrill of head to head competitive drag racing, feel heart stopping horsepower and see some of the fastest 200 mph cars in five state area. Labor Day Weekend Festivities
September 4-6, 2010
Fort Kearny State Historical Park
Enjoy a weekend of fun and excitement at Fort Kearny State Historical Park. The weekend is packed full of festivities for the whole family. Some of the festivities are:

- Black Powder Pistol Quick Draw
- Balloon shoot from horseback
- FREE horse drawn wagon rides
- Cannon Firing
- Pony Express Riders
- Wood Carving Demonstrations
A little bit of Hollywood comes to Fort Kearny on Saturday. There will be lots of action between 1:00pm and 4:00pm, leaving plenty of time for Big Red Football preparation. Carson & Barnes Circus

The world famous Carson & Barnes Circus will be appearing at in Kearney, NE on Sunday, September 5, 2010. Showtimes are 3:00pm and 7:00pm. In America today, there remains only one big-tented circus, which manages to maintain a traditionally demanding road schedule. It's the all new 74th edition of the Carson &
Barnes Circus, bringing almost hundred performers and animals to the Buffalo County Fairgrounds.
The performers are artists from around the world, including the United States, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Aregentina, Russia & Italy. Acts consist of aerial trapeze, high wire, motorcyle acrobatic teams, jugglers & clowns, along with performing elephants, camels, dogs & horses.
