Pedaling the Past

One of the best ways to explore local history is on a bike.
Join UNK faculty members David Vail and Will Stoutamire on an informational and enjoyable ride along a popular hike-bike trail while learning more about Kearney history.
“Pedaling the Past” takes participants from Yanney Park to Cottonmill Park and back, with several stops along the 8-mile route to discuss points of interest and the city’s early development.
“Pedaling the Past” tours are free, with a limit of 30 cyclists per three-hour session. They’re open to anyone interested in biking and local history, with each participant receiving a T-shirt.
Tour dates are:
Saturday, Sept. 22, from 9 a.m. to noon
Sunday, Sept. 30, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon
