First Session (June 15-19) – Bird Week!

Platte River Safari Camp: Session 1 is a bird-focused nature day camp where children explore the wonders of birds while learning about the Platte River and the surrounding natural areas at Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary. From observing bird behavior to exploring the river ecosystem, campers will learn all about the birds of Nebraska and why birds are so important.

Second Session (June 22-25) – Habitat Week!

Platte River Safari Camp: Session 2 is a habitat-focused nature day camp where children explore the diverse ecosystems of the Platte River and the surrounding landscapes at Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary. Campers discover how wetlands, prairies, woodlands, and river channels all connect to support wildlife, including the birds that depend on them. From wading into wetlands to investigating prairie life, campers experience the Platte River environment in ways that will create indelible memories!

Third Session (June 29-July 3) – Art & Nature Week!

Platte River Safari Camp: Session 3 is an art and nature-focused day camp where children explore the beauty and diversity of the Platte River and the surrounding landscapes at Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary. Campers draw inspiration from wetlands, prairies, woodlands, and river channels as they observe wildlife—including the birds that call these habitats home—and express their discoveries through creative art projects.
