The US Constitution at the Intersection of Church and State

February 13, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Should Americans pledge to be “one nation, under God”? Must governments accommodate religious believers whose faiths lead them to smoke peyote, refuse to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple? In short, how do we navigate the intersection of religion and politics? This course will explore these issues and more by examining the religion clauses in the US Constitution.
